LOGGING RUSHESThese is an unusable clip. I can't use this clip because I had to stop and charge my battery halfway through so these first clips wouldn't sign up with the later lighting so I decided to retake all of them even though these were sufficient shots.
This was also an example of an unusable shot. This shot was when the camera became blurry so I had to stop and take the lens off to clean the inside of my camera before carrying on. Luckily I spotted the problem before taking any more shots so there was only one or two clips that were unusable because of this.
This shot was when I filmed later on on the roof. Because I filmed at a later time when it was darker it meant that this shot is a bit more grainy than others because I had to use a high IOS setting to be able to see what was happening, especially in darker scenes. However, I don't think the graininess means the shot is unusable. I really like the colours in these shots and so I'm willing to use these especially because these shots only take up a small section of my video. Also, in a lot of indie videos they purposefully use graininess so I don't think this is to music of a video as I can lean into the indie conventions I was trying to use anyway.
This is one of my usable shots. the camera is focused on the protagonist who is acting in the way I was asking them, looking in the right direction. She is positioned in the correct place in my close up shot. I also really like the exposure in the background of the shot, I think it correctly represents the time I am filming in and frames the protagonist nicely.
This is also one of my usable shots. This was after I realised that I couldn't have my actor stood in the dark areas of the projection because we would be able to see her. The camera is framed correctly and is focused, and my actor acted the way I asked of her.
This is when I positioned my actor in the wrong area of the projection so we couldn't see her at all in the camera. The camera is also positioned in the wrong place (too zoomed out for what I wanted) and also not properly focused. This shot meant I was able to improve it ad change what I was doing however this is not a usable shot.
This is one of the pictures I initially took for projection. Although it is correctly focused and positioned I wasn't able to use it. I realised that the characters outfit was the same as in the moor scenes, this wouldn't work for the video because it would insinuate the character was there at the same time and I was trying to show two different timelines. I then realised he taking her hat off and changing her coat would make this clearer to the viewers so I decided to use the later images instead of these ones even though it was a successful shot.
Here I was attempting to create a transition shot for the character walking up the stairs. However I found it hard to position the camera in the correct place to be able to correctly get this shot. this resulted in the shot probably not looking smooth in my video and not matching what I was trying to create. It also isn't correctly focused so I decided this was an unusable shot.
This is a movement shot so it didn't end up being as focused as I would have liked. However, the page ripped exactly where I had planned to in the perfect frame of the shot. I decided that it not being fully focused throughout the whole movement isn't a big enough thing for me not to use this shot as I think it would fit perfectly into my video and the beat drop where it is positioned.
I separated my raw footage and my final clips to two different folders inside a 'MUSIC VIDEO' folder on my computer, this is so I could access them easily when editing my video and I knew if I needed to re film any clips before editing. I also have a 'Unit 3' folder in my OneDrive so that I could access my work from any device.
